Brockley is located 6 miles south-west of Bury St. Edmunds. Westley is 2 miles west of Bury St. Edmunds.

He married Harriet Mills, 3 October 1847, in Alphamstone, Essex, (daughter of John and Elizabeth Mills), born 20 December 1819, Mount Bures, Essex, baptized 24 December 1821, Mount Bures, Essex, died 24 March 1891, Union, Salt Lake, Utah, buried: 26 March 1891, Union, Salt Lake, Utah. George Whiting and Mary Ann Smith were marriage witnesses. Edmund died on 1 September 1898 (Age 80) at South Cottonwood, Murray, Salt Lake, Utah. He was buried 3 September 1898 Murray Cemetary, Salt Lake, Utah. In the 1851 census, Edmund, Harriet and George were living at Plantation House, Bures St. Mary. Their son, Edward, was with Harriets parents at Cobbs Farm, Alphamstone, Essex. In the 1861 census, the family was at Little Jennings, Bures, Essex. In the 1871 census, they were living at Upper Jennies, Bures Hamlet. Harriet became a member of he Mormon Church in 1852 and on 19 September 1877 the family left Liverpool on the Steamer Wisconsin in a party of 500 "saints", including many Scandanavians. They arrived in Salt Lake City 9 October 1877, and were met by George Silvester at the railway station, who took them to South Cottonwood. Young Fred took time to walk round the foundations of the Salt Lake Temple which was being built then; six months later they moved from the Sylvester house to Godfrey Farm where they lived 14 years. Edward was short, heavy set, light brown hair, grey-blue eyes, good natured and slow, while Harriet was short, slender, neat, brown hair and eyes, good natured, hard worker and foresighted.

He married Susan Mothersole, 8 September 1839, in Tostock, Suffolk, England, born about 1815, died before 1881. In the 1881 census George is living with his daughter Betsy & son-in-law John Ward at 19 Well Street, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. He is a widower. George's younger sister Harriet married John Mothersole of Pakenham.

She married Charles Huffey, 2 July 1843, in Tostock, Suffolk, England, (son of Charles Cowson Huffey and Mary Howlett) baptized 22 August 1819, Tostock, Suffolk, buried: 17 March 1891, Tostock, Suffolk. Sarah buried: 16 December 1888, Tostock, Suffolk. Sarah could not write, she made her "mark" when married. Charles was a laborer when married. James Ottley and John Crofts were marriage witnesses. Charles could not write, he made his "mark" when married. The wedding certificate obtained from the General Register Office in London (St Catherine's House) shows his father as William Huffey (servant). This is incorrect. This may have been a "typo" as Sarah's father was William Ottley and was copied down incorrectly. Also, his father was shown as a servant when his brother, John, was married in 1850. The 1841 census shows him as a lodger with James Everitt, shoemaker of Tostock. The 1851 & 1861 census show him at The Green, Tostock. The 1871 census show him at Flatts Lane, Tostock. The 1881 census show him at Halls Lane, Tostock.

Philip was a butcher when he married Rebecca. Colston Huffey was a marriage witness. In the 1881 census Philip and Rebecca were living at 62 Upper North Street, Poplar, London. Philip was a coachman and Rebecca a dressmaker.

      He married (1) Mary Ann Bedford, 25 October 1885, in St Martin-Fields, Strand, London, born 1840, Kenford, Devon, (daughter of Samuel Bedford) died 1905, Uxbridge, Middlesex.
      He married (2) Louisa Clark, 1909, in Stow R.D., Suffolk, born about 1840, died 1930, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Causan died 1923, Suffolk. Baptized as Causan, married as Coulston to Mary Anne Bedford, married as Colston to Louisa Clark. 1851 census shows him as Cousin, 1861 census as Colson, 1871 census shows him as Colston. The 1881 census shows him (Coulson) as a lodger in the house of William Eveleigh, 3 Lascelles Place, St Giles in Fields, London. He later married William's widow. He was buried as Colston. His will made in 1914 show him as Colston. Shown in LDS christened as Colson. He was living at 16 Castle Street, Long Acre, London when he married Mary Ann Eveleigh (nee Bedford) who also lived at the same address. He was a brewer's servant. W. May and E. Bedford were marriage witnesses. Mary Ann was a widow (Mary Ann Eveleigh) living at 1 6 Castle St., Long Acre, London when she married Causan. The marriage was witnessed by E. Bedford.
    • Susan Huffey, baptized 1 February 1852, Tostock, Suffolk. Susan shows up in the 1881 census as a General Servant in the home of Silas Edmands, Trimming Manufacturer, 10 Provost Road, Hampstead, London. She may have known that her second cousin, Ellen, was in London at that time. There was a Mary A. Rogers, Nurse, aged 17, from Fhittyshem (sic), Sussex in the same household.

She married John Mothersole, 17 April 1856, in Tostock, Suffolk, born 1831, Pakenham, Suffolk. Harriet's older brother George married Susan Mothersole. In the 1881 census the family was living in Fen Road, Pakenham, Suffolk. John was a Carpenter.

He married Phillis Catchpole, 28 Aug 1857, in Tostock, Suffolk, born 1835, Bacton, Suffolk, (daughter of George and Elizabeth Catchpole). In the 1881 census the family is living at New Halls Farm, Stanton, Suffolk. Joeseph is an agricultural laborer.

    • Rachael Ottley, baptized 1 May 1864, Tostock, Suffolk. In the 1881 Census Rachael is a Housemaid in the home of Charles and Clara Wing at 71 Guidhall Street, Bury St. Edmunds St Mary, Suffolk. Charles Wing is a General Practioner MRCS.
