  7. Nathaniel Mayhew, baptized 4 January 1790, Buxhall, Suffolk. Nathaniel was buried 23 July 1864 in Cotton, Suffolk.
    He married (1) Ann Read, 14 February 1812,at Heavingham, Suffolk, born about 1782, buried 16 April 1844 in Cotton, Suffolk. He was living at Walsham Le Willows, Suffolk, when he married Ann.

    Ann's age was given as 55 in the 1841 census, but her age was given as 62 when she was buried in 1844.
    He married (2) Sarah Borrett, 1845 in Hattismere, Suffolk, born about 1788 in Occold, Suffolk.
    In the 1841 census, Nathaniel, Ann & Harold were living at Cotton, Suffolk. Nathaniel was a Farmer.
    In the 1851 census, Nathaniel & Sarah were living at Ford's Green, in Bacton, Suffolk. He was a farmer of 10 acres of land. He and Sarah were entered as both being married for the 2nd time. They had a Servant, Lucy Smith, aged 21, born in Cransford, Suffolk. They also had two visitors, Charles Pulham, aged 65, retired farmer, born, Occold, Suffolk and his 2nd wife, Hannah, aged 55, born Stowmarket, Suffolk.
    In the 1861 census, Nathaniel & Sarah were still living at Ford's Green, in Bacton, Suffolk. Lucy was still there as a Servant.

Ann King Mayhew born about 1807, baptized 28 October 1807, Buxhall, Suffolk, married 20 October 1826, in Onehouse, Suffolk, William Huffey, born 24 June 1800, Rattlesden, Suffolk, baptized: 5 October 1800, Rattlesden, Suffolk, (son of John Huffey and Martha Colson Choate) buried: 28 January 1882, Rattlesden, Suffolk. Ann was buried 8 April 1865, Rattlesden, Suffolk.

  10. William's address in 1841 & 1851 census as Upper St, Rattlesden. His address in 1861 & 1871 census was 21 High St, Rattlesden. The 1881 census shows William as a lodger in the home of Edward Rausey in High St, Rattlesden. His wife, Ann, died in 1865. Occupation was a laborer when Ellen was born.
    The 1851 census return for Rattlesden shows Ann as aged 45 and born in Ipswich.
    The 1861 census return for Brettenham shows Ann as aged 55 and born in Buxhall, she was staying with her son, David. She could not write and made her "mark" when Ellen was born.

    In the 1851 census Harold was a Farmer of 176 acres in Cotton, employing 7 labourers. Sarah Carter, aged 13, born in Bacton, was a visitor.
    In the 1861 census Harold was a Farmer of 187 acres in Cotton, employing 6 men & 1 boy.
