   In the 1881 census, James's name was badly written & has been transcribed to "Idenes". In the 1861 census, James, Hannah and Adelaide were living with her parents at 19 Queens Street. James was a Silk Dyer, born in Prussia and a British subject. Their name was recorded as "Ellis". The family (including Florence, Robert, Eugene & Hortensia) were living at Stratford Mansions, Tenby Rd, West Ham. In the 1901 census, James was a "Tea Warehouseman" living with Hannah at 115 Livingston Road, West Ham. He gave his place of birth as Cambridgeshire, England.

Florence died 13 May 1938, Burgh Heath, Banstead, Surrey, buried: City of London Cemetery, Ilford, Essex. Florence gave her age as 22 for her first marriage (actually only 20). She gave her father's name as Theodore Elfes (deceased). She gave her age as 53 for 2nd marriage (actually 59). Her occupation was given as an Apartment House Proprietress, living at 25 Broad St, Brighton, the same address as Albert Collier. Her father James Elfes (deceased) was a French Dyer. O. Collier & H. Leigh were marriage witnesses. The cause of her death was given as Cerebral Hemorrhage & Arterio-Sclerosis. She died at the Surrey Yeoman, Burgh Heath. Her age at death was given as 76. Henry Conner and Catherine Phillips were marriage witnesses. Esther was living at 284 Cable St, Shadwell when married in 1886. She moved to 115 Livingstone Road, Stratford in 1890. She made her "mark" when she recorded Theodore's birth in 1890 and her maiden name was spelled "Bliben". In the 1901 census, Robert & his family were living at 16 Stanley Road, West Ham. His occupation was a bricklayer's labourer.

Eugene was married in 1902 as Albert - West Ham - 4a 247. Mary Ann's last name was given as Durham in the St Catherine's records. The maariage was recorded in Hackney, in 1893.
